More Than a Game—A Community That Comes Together
At Riverside Covenant Church, fellowship happens in many ways, and sometimes, it begins on the softball diamond! From Monday night games and cheering from the sidelines to gathering around the grill at our church tailgates, softball creates opportunities for our church family to connect beyond Sunday mornings. As a proud member of the Rhode Island Christian Athletic Association, our team brings together church members, friends, families, and supporters for a season of friendly competition, encouragement, and meaningful connection. Whether you're playing on the field, supporting the team, sharing a meal, or making new friends, there's a place for you. Join us for a season of faith, friendship, and fun as we build relationships and celebrate the joy of community together.
Building Community On and Off the Field.
Our church softball team is one of the many ways we bring people together outside of Sunday worship. While players take the field, the fellowship extends to the sidelines, where congregation members and families gather to cheer, connect, and enjoy time together. It's an opportunity to strengthen existing friendships, welcome new faces, and share in the excitement of the season.
Monday Night Fellowship On the Diamond.
From May through September, Monday nights are about more than home runs and double plays. Games offer a chance for the congregation to show its support, spend time with friends, and enjoy the fun of being part of something together. Whether you're a dedicated fan, a family member cheering on a player, or simply looking for a way to connect with others, you're always welcome to join us.
Each season, our church also hosts regular congregation tailgates, bringing people together to share food, catch up, laugh, and enjoy one another's company. These gatherings are an important part of the experience, reminding us that community isn't just about who's playing the game—it's about everyone who comes together to make the season special.
